Central Florida 100: end-of-year academic honors and regaining the new normal

Last week: REALTORS LAWSUIT: Florida real estate agents are suing CDC over eviction moratoria. These moratoria have helped prevent a huge spike in homelessness. Still, I wish we could provide funding and a path to recovery for homeowners and tenants in need. I am not sure that prosecution is the best option for homeowners and owners, but I understand why they made this choice. Establishing these moratoria without including long-term solutions has been detrimental not only to landlords, but also to tenants, nonprofits and jurisdictions trying to make up the difference.
Looking forward: SCHOOL FINALLY LEAVING: The school year ends and this mom breathes a sigh of relief. This year has been incredibly difficult for parents. We had to make impossible decisions about home schooling, transportation, and extracurricular activities. For many of us, there has never been a right answer, and those with fewer resources feel even more trapped between the wrong options. And while we were dealing with all this anxiety, we had to be the ones to assure our children that everything was fine. Moms, dads and other babysitters, I hope this summer is a break for you too. You have certainly earned it.
