MIRPUR (AJK) :, Sep 25 (APP): Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan Niazi said on Saturday that all resources will be used to provide basic amenities of life to the residents of urban and rural areas of the state near their doorstep.
The facilities would help bring about socio-economic changes in the region, adding that an integrated plan was being written to accomplish the task.
He expressed these views during a ministerial briefing given by the Department of Local Authorities and Rural Development of the metropolis of the state on Friday evening.
He stressed the need for the construction of connecting roads, bridges, repair and rehabilitation of water supply systems without any delay and assured that funds for this purpose would be increased to deposit the fruits of development at the gates. of the common man.
The prime minister said steps would be taken to learn from mistakes, adding that merit would be assured by hoping people see the change within six months. He said that women’s representations in local body elections would be increased to shift power to the level of the gross route.
Qayyum said all resources will be channeled to make Azad Kashmir a prosperous state by putting into practice the vision of Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The Prime Minister stressed the need to use the funds of local bodies in a transparent way to solve the problems of the population at the local level.
The Prime Minister has ordered a limit of at least Rs. 200,000 for small projects and physical verification of water filtration plants installed statewide and added that he will not tolerate any type of diversion. funds in projects.
The AJK prime minister has said in the past that ploys were used as political bribes and that only plots were on paper but nothing on the ground and urged officials to ensure the transparent use of state resources.
The Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Khawaja Farooq Ahmed was also present on the occasion.
