If you have an aluminum foil hat handy, now might be a good time to find it and put it on. I have found some pretty wild conspiracy theories that claim there are secret military tunnels running through the Quincy area of Illinois.
Let’s get rid of the facts now. There are tunnels under Quincy and they are not secret. If you’ve taken Highway 57, you’ve seen the entrances.
This is not what this theory implies. He claims that there are deep underground military bases across the country. You’ve probably heard the theory about a secret base under Denver International Airport and Area 51, etc. Related to this is speculation on a Quincy tunnel system.
If you look at the map, it shows a speculated tunnel running from Cedar Rapids, in the Iowa area to St. Louis, Missouri and it moves just below Quincy. The belief is that these bases and tunnels exist for the “elite” and the military to use in the event of a real future emergency.
It is true that this is a pretty crazy thing, so why talk about it now? Here is where I am going with this. A few weeks ago, mysterious loud bangs were heard all over Missouri. I’ve had more than one person bring up this theory in regards to these weird booms. The idea is that there is a construction going on of these tunnels and that the “boom” is the result.
Is there some truth to all of this? I frankly have no idea. I tend to be skeptical unless I can find solid proof. We all know there are tunnels in our area. Are there also secrets? The truth is out there.
